Driver (Owner-Operator) Policy

1. Eligibility Requirements

  • All drivers must be at least 21 years old and hold a valid driver’s license in the state of Texas.
  • Drivers must own or lease a delivery-capable vehicle (Sedan, SUV, Cargo Van, Box Truck).
  • Vehicle insurance, registration, and inspection must be up to date.
  • All drivers must pass a background check and may be subject to random drug testing.

2. Independent Contractor Status

Drivers are considered independent contractors, not employees of Sainzport Logistics. As such, drivers are responsible for their own taxes, vehicle maintenance, fuel, and insurance.

3. Compensation

  • Drivers are compensated based on a per-delivery rate, mileage rate, or percentage of the delivery fee, as agreed upon.
  • Weekly payments are made via direct deposit or other authorized methods.
  • Bonuses may be available for high performance, referrals, or special assignments.

4. Code of Conduct

  • Drivers must always maintain a professional appearance and respectful behavior.
  • Uniforms, if provided, must be worn during deliveries.
  • Communication with customers must be clear, polite, and professional.

5. Delivery Responsibilities

  • Drivers are responsible for the safe and timely delivery of all assigned packages.
  • Proof of delivery (photo, signature, or digital confirmation) is required for each delivery.
  • Any delivery issue or customer concern must be reported immediately to dispatch.

6. Safety and Compliance

  • Drivers must comply with all local, state, and federal traffic laws.
  • No texting or phone use while driving unless using a hands-free device.
  • Regular vehicle inspections are encouraged to maintain safety.

7. Termination of Agreement

Sainzport Logistics reserves the right to terminate the agreement with any driver at any time for violations of this policy, misconduct, repeated complaints, or failure to meet performance standards.
